The Audio Product Development Alliance (APDA) returns to automotive audio, hosting a new live webinar with Matt Marchese, senior director of Tymphany's business unit and founding member of the Audio Foundry, the first-of-its-kind collaborative makerspace designed for prototyping and advanced research. This will be a conversation about joining forces for innovation in the automotive industry and how collaboration can accelerate advanced audio applications to enhance the in-cabin audio experience.
 

In this new live APDA session, Matt Marchese will tell us about how the Audio Foundry concept was created and how this workspace is being embraced by industry innovators, both experienced suppliers to the automotive industry and completely new companies eager to introduce innovation to this exciting field.

Currently about to open its second workspace in Silicon Valley, the Audio Foundry is a unique hub that provides access to cutting-edge tools and premium audio components, fostering the collaborative discovery of novel technologies and experiences that benefit the automotive audio ecosystem.

In this webinar, Matt Marchese will discuss how this collaborative structure differs from the traditional supplier or innovation studio model in the automotive audio space and how the experience of bringing together audio engineers, designers, OEMs, all in one room adds to the process. Among other topics of focus for the Audio Foundry, this session will expand on sensor fusion, haptic audio, personalization, AI tuning, and other tools to enhance the in-cabin audio experience.

This webinar will also detail recent projects that the Audio Foundry has been involved in and the sort of timetables that brands and OEMs are establishing these days for new projects. How to test ideas, new speaker locations in seat-backs and headrests, and what's next for the in-cabin experience. Matt Marchese will also share his view on how new companies and particularly startups can get involved in automotive audio and the best approach to deal with the complexities of the automotive supply chain.
