Rescheduled for April 28, 2026, Tuesday, the APDA is promoting a new webinar with Josh Toole, CEO and Principal Engineer at Cloud2GND, an engineering services company specializing in embedded wireless connectivity with a unique focus on Bluetooth technology. During this live conversation, we will learn more about the company’s field experience deploying solutions for Bluetooth LE Audio, as well as new use cases and opportunities for product development. This is a rare opportunity to hear from a company with real engineering experience in LE Audio platforms and partnerships with leading technology providers.

Cloud2GND is a unique engineering services provider that offers comprehensive support, maintenance, and licensing options for a complete Bluetooth LE Protocol stack. Cloud2GND also developed Aurawave AW100PA, the first commercially available Auracast and Bluetooth LE Audio module designed to support product developers. Cloud2GND worked in partnership with Ezurio to create a complete solution combining long-range wireless performance (up to 250m), a high-performance AKM codec, and preloaded AT-command firmware for quick evaluation, integration, and deployment of LE Audio systems and products.

In 2025, Cloud2GND has assumed responsibility for support, development, and commercial licensing of the Packetcraft Bluetooth Low Energy protocol stack, following an agreement with Synaptics, which acquired Packetcraft in February 2025. Cloud2GND now provides both licensing and engineering support to ensure continued development and maintenance for Packetcraft users, following a close relationship with the Packetcraft team for many years.

These two references from Cloud2GND explain why Joshua Toole is in a unique position to share what is happening in this field, particularly given the strong momentum for implementation of new Bluetooth designs and expanding traction of Auracast deployments. Cloud2GND's team has a long-term involvement in the Bluetooth ecosystem and the company is uniquely positioned to provide development support, test tools, and design validation in full compliance with Bluetooth SIG standards.

Cloud2GND engineers have worked across multiple SoCs, feature extensions for customer-specific needs, and custom validation frameworks that require deep technical insight, and the ability to support a wide variety of product requirements. In addition to product-level experience, Cloud2GND has played a foundational role in the Bluetooth standards ecosystem. For more than a decade, the company’s engineers have been active contributors to the Bluetooth SIG and qualification programs.

In this APDA live session, we will learn more on how this platform makes Auracast and LE Audio more accessible to developers and product teams, and how Cloud2GND supports LE Audio development from early prototyping to real-world deployment to build the next generation of Bluetooth audio products. Josh Toole will also share new use cases and opportunities for product companies, discuss their experience working with multiple Bluetooth SoCs providers.

After six years at early Bluetooth stack pioneer Stonestreet One, Josh Toole founded Cloud2GND to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the rapidly evolving Bluetooth market. Under his leadership, Cloud2GND has become a trusted contributor to the broader Bluetooth ecosystem, collaborating closely with semiconductor companies and standards organizations while helping clients bring innovative connected devices to market. The company develops protocol stacks, wireless systems, and end-to-end connected solutions across industries including consumer electronics, medical devices, and automotive. With more than 20 years of experience in Bluetooth, Josh is recognized for his deep technical expertise and collaborative approach, playing a key role in advancing technologies such as Bluetooth LE Audio and Bluetooth Mesh while positioning Cloud2GND as a leader in next-generation wireless innovation.
