Henry Wong has been actively collaborating with various companies that are exploring the potential of Bluetooth Low Energy Audio and Auracast. This webinar aims to discuss the potential applications of these technologies across diverse product categories. Given the Bluetooth SIG’s increasing support for developers and the upcoming Bluetooth updates roadmap, this session is highly recommended.
During this new APDA presentation, the potential improvements on wireless audio enabled by Bluetooth will be discussed, as well as the potential for Auracast applications in all kinds of product categories, from active PA speakers that include the Auracast transmitter - ideal for hotel events, corporate presentations, etc. - all the way to low-power transmitters that can meet a diversity of purposes, from tour guides to hearing assistance in classrooms.
As the Bluetooth SIG has promised to accelerate its upcoming Bluetooth specifications roadmap, this conversation with Henry Wong will dive into LE Audio adoption, and the exciting possibilities (and many challenges) of upcoming Bluetooth High Data Throughput (HDT) technology promising High-Resolution audio and multichannel support. The current implementation challenges and upcoming improvements for Auracast will also be discussed.

The Bluetooth SIG is an international standards development organization that continually enhances Bluetooth technology by creating new specifications. The organization is also a global trade association working to increase the awareness, understanding, and adoption of Bluetooth technology, and a product certification body that promotes global interoperability and provides access to Bluetooth technology patent and trademark licenses.
While Bluetooth has been powering the revolution of personal audio and wireless communications already for over two decades, the applications have entered a new stage with the introduction of Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast in the past five years. Enabling the biggest leap for audio in years, LE Audio, LC3 codec support, multi-stream audio, and isochronous channels are now powering a new generation of low-power, robust designs.

Henry Wong, Director of Market Development for the Bluetooth SIG, has been actively involved in promoting new Bluetooth technology for nearly six years. His focus has been on supporting market acceleration projects, particularly Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast.
Wong’s interest in science, technology, and computers began in high school in Goshen, New York. He obtained his first patent at age 21. He worked at Nortel, Intel, Philips, Infineon, SMSC, Renesas, and Xperi, living in Asia, Europe and the US. In 2013, Henry Wong designed and launched Bluetooth headphones for Kinivo while co-founding and helping bring to market a smart, automotive wireless sensor solution for FenSens, which won best startup finalist at CES 2019. Savvy, globally-minded, and multilingual (English, Chinese, German, and Spanish), Wong has built and managed teams worldwide and is passionate about helping early-stage startups succeed.
