December 2, 2025, Tuesday, the APDA is promoting a new webinar, where we will dive into a car audio system that lets front and rear passengers enjoy different audio streams simultaneously with minimal interference — think advanced active noise cancellation, but for complex audio environments. Curious how this is possible — and what GPUs have to do with it?

GPU Audio develops technology that unlocks the power of massively parallel processors — such as GPUs and NPUs — for real-time audio processing. Our guests, Alexander Talashov (Co-Founder and CEO) and Sergey Korobov (Chief Business Development Officer) from GPU Audio, will not only explain the technology and share the company's fascinating story, but also demonstrate it live so we can all hear it in real time!

GPU Audio’s journey with accelerated automotive computing began in 2012. Alexander Talashov and the founding team aimed to adapt GPUs, originally designed for video game graphics rendering, to process audio in real-time. GPU Audio faced challenges due to the fundamental differences between sound processing and graphics. Audio requires near-instant precision, and even a few milliseconds of delay can disrupt the experience. While GPUs excel at parallel processing, audio requires interdependent steps where each calculation depends on the previous one.

To address these challenges, GPU Audio developed a new audio process manager that efficiently aggregates audio streams, distributed workloads, and maintains real-time responsiveness. The approach was tested in pro-grade content creation software for musicians and sound engineers, with GPU-based plugins. The team later offered an SDK to other developers, allowing them to expand the technology to various fields, eventually finding a receptive market in automotive audio.

Alexander Talashov is the co-founder and CEO of GPU Audio. Under his leadership, GPU Audio has raised $12 million to build an innovative accelerated audio computing platform that is redefining professional workflows and enabling groundbreaking consumer experiences across industries including pro audio, post-production, live performance, gaming, automotive, and beyond.

Sergey Korobov is the Chief Business Development Officer at GPU Audio, where he leads partnerships with automotive OEMs, semiconductor companies, and Tier-1 industry players. With over 25 years of international management experience, he has built a career driving strategic growth across the technology sector. Before joining GPU Audio, Sergey served as Director of Business Development at Qualcomm in the UK, overseeing distribution and partnerships across the UK, France, and Northern Europe.

This webinar is also a unique opportunity to learn about the exciting possibilities of GPU Audio's technology for automotive audio processing, which has become massively more complex in recent years.
